Sovereign Grace Churches

God’s Word is clear that it is local churches that send missionaries to advance the gospel to the ends of the earth. This is a both an incredible privilege and a weighty calling, and in Sovereign Grace, we are eager to continue to see more and more missionaries sent from our local churches to aid in the global progress of the gospel. That God may be glorified among every tribe, language, people, and nation (Revelation 7:9-12).

  • In Sovereign Grace, a missionary refers to a person sent by the local church, across cultural, national or linguistic barriers, towards the building of the local church.

  • We believe that God calls the local church to send pastors and members as missionaries. Thus, you should first seek guidance from your local church in determining if you are called to go as a missionary.

  • We believe God’s normal means of accomplishing his global mission is through church planting. Thus, wherever possible, we seek to send missionaries in teams of pastors and team members with the aim of planting churches in cross-cultural locations.

  • Currently, our capacity is not sufficient to have our own missionary sending branch in Sovereign Grace. Thankfully there are many missions agencies that exist to assist local churches in equipping and sending missionaries. Among the plethora of options available, we are aware of churches that have partnered with the following agencies:

    • Global Outreach International

    • Mission Quest

    • Reaching and Teaching
